Devils Tower National Monument - Nearby Destinations

Gillette Population: 19,646
Gillette may be small and rural, but this doesn't lessen its significance. Gillette, Wyoming calls itself the "Energy Capital of the Nation." While this may be exaggeration, it's not much of an exaggeration. Situated in an area rich in coal, oil and methane gas, Gillette is valuable indeed - and not only for its energy resources.

Sheridan Population: 15,804
Sheridan is a small town in northern Wyoming with a past rich in ranching, railroad and milling, as well as celebrities. Rodeos are still an active part of the culture and Sheridan remains a popular "wild west" town even in the 21st century.
