Description
Come fishing in LaBonte Creek. Steep canyon sides, along with patches of aspen and conifers, makes this area one of the most scenic on the Douglas Ranger District. The canyon bottom is about 6,000 feet in elevation, and has granite rock formations for technical roack climbing and photography.
Bear Canyon joins LaBonte Canyon from the south and is frequently used as a 4-wheel drive road but is also used for hiking and horseback riding. This road gives access to the scenic Devil's Pass near the Sawtooth Peaks.
